Boston Harbor
Cruises – This is where I had my wedding.
The ceremony was performed with the US Constitution as a
backdrop. We sailed the Harbor and Islands for four hours. We had a
catered buffet and there was bar service on the boat.
A live band played on the top deck.
We had an extended reception at the Presidential suite at the
Marriott Longwharf right across from where the cruise boat docks.
This makes it convenient for the bridal party to get ready in
the suite before the ceremony.
The room has four sets of sliding glass doors with a view of
the harbor. There is a fireplace, grand piano, wet bar, large dining
table, couches and comfy chairs, a separate bedroom and two bathrooms.
It was nice to extend the party in the suite after the boat cruise.
We had plenty of room for 105 people.
The idea was to make it more like a really fun party than a
traditional wedding ceremony and reception.
It was also very affordable compared to the price of a hall and
sit-down meal. All of us really had a lot of fun!
